The Federal Association for Information and Counselling for Victims of Nazi Persecution received the "Volunteering Creates Connections" Award from the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia for its Volunteer Visiting and Support Service.
The project supports elderly survivors of Nazi persecution by strengthening social participation, fostering personal connections and promoting solidarity within society.

The Federal Association received the Award “Demokratisch Handeln” for the project "Animated films about escape and persecution from the Second World War to the present day".
The project connects historical experiences of persecution and forced displacement with contemporary social issues while promoting democratic values, empathy and historical learning.
The animated film “Marina. Der Krieg war für mich nie zu Ende.” received the Team Award, the festival's highest honour, at the 37th bundes.festival.film.
The film was created as part of the project "Animated films about escape and persecution from the Second World War to the present day". It makes the experiences of a survivor of Nazi persecution accessible and engaging for young audiences.

The Federal Association also received the 2024 Reinhart Engert Prize for History, presented by the Werkstatt für Ortsgeschichte Köln-Brück e.V., for the project "Animated films about escape and persecution from the Second World War to the present day".
The award recognises innovative approaches to historical education and outstanding work in bringing the testimonies of survivors of Nazi persecution to younger generations.

The Blätter Democracy Award (Blätter-Demokratiepreis) was presented to the Federal Association for Information and Counselling for Victims of Nazi Persecution and its then Chair, Lothar Evers.
