Contemporary Witnesses

Our contemporary witness projects bring together formerly persecuted persons with young people, allowing them to learn about National Socialist history first-hand. Many survivors have a great interest in telling their persection stories in order to contribute to the political education of younger generations. To raise awareness to this issue, we launched our postcard campaign “Postkarten gegen das Vergessen” (Lest we forget). The postcards show expressive portraits of survivors of Nazi persecution and celebrities who address the onlooker directly. You can read about the lives of the portrayed surviors here.
